More Paper Art from Around the World

I am continuing to receive paper art from artists around the world at my studio here in Taiwan for the "One World - Many Papers" project. I am still waiting for one artist's work that has been mailed but not yet delivered here. Once I get this last piece of paper I will begin putting all 42 pieces of paper together to make a large map of the world.

I am posting here a few photos from some of the participating artists showing them making the paper artwork for this collaborative project that emphasizes world cooperation and international cultural exchange.

The first photo shows New Zealand artist Prue Townsend pouring paper pulp to make her piece of paper for the "One World" project.
The second photo shows handmade paper created by French artist Jan Fairburn-Edwards drying in the sun outside her studio in southern France.
The third photo shows Philippines artist Loreto Apilado cutting Akoso plant to make his paper.
The fourth photo shows artist Daniela Todorova of Bulgaria making paper with bark from rose bushes she gathered at a special garden in Sofia with permission from the authorities! Sofia is known as the "rose city" and these rose bushes were around the grave of a cultural hero.

Receiving Paper Art Pieces from Around the World

Artists are still sending their individual paper artworks to my studio in Taiwan.
Yesterday I heard from the artist from Bangkok, Thailand, that his paper will be arriving a little later since the Bangkok airport is now closed due to political troubles in his country. We are sorry to hear of the trouble there and hope that everything will be better in Thailand soon.
Other papers continue to arrive here daily.
These photos show some of the 42 collaborating artists in the "One World - Many Papers" project making their paper artworks in their country:

Pablo Fuentes - Spain
Hyom Kang - South Korea
Paula MacGregor - UK/Scotland
Joanne Kaar - UK/Scotland
Sonya Rademayer - South Africa
